Y’know, a thing I’ve been thinking about… I’ve seen a lot of people over the years point to Steven’s “that’s why we have to fight them!” line in Jailbreak as a critique of SU “falling over time to just forgiving and uwu redeeming everyone” over the seasons, and acting as if S1 Steven was more Woke™ back then for saying this, but the biggest thing I think some audiences fail to recognize is that…
There’s more than one way to fight back against injustice.
“Fighting” doesn’t have to mean explosions and battles and intense physical struggle and killing. It could, and there’s many occasions in the show where circumstances do in fact force our characters to use physical means for sheer self defense and protection of others, but it doesn’t have to.
Fighting also means boldly stating your identity in front of those who refuse to see you for who you are.
Fighting also means proclaiming what you believe is right, and speaking out against harm.
Fighting also means lifting others around you up who have been downtrodden and belittled by society.
Fighting is not just violence. Fighting is resistance in community. And the characters in SU remained bold and strong in their fight the whole time.
I swear, the best way to grow is to witness someone who has all your worst habits cranked up to 11, spend half an hour complaining about them, then go “OH it me” and change forever
Anyways, girls can be and are sexual beings. They think about fucking their crushes. They masturbate to porn and erotica and whatever else. They do things like fucking the pie and daydreaming about dick and can have just as high sex drives as men. This includes wlw and trans girls. And it isn’t dirty or wrong. And it isn’t for male consumption.
